1. Who we are
The data controller is LM TEK d.o.o., a Slovenian limited liability company with its registered office at Pod Lipami 10, 1218 Komenda, Slovenia. Registered in the Slovenian Business Register (AJPES).

2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to operate this website, to respond to your enquiry, and to manage commercial and partner relationships. We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, or political data).
Identification and contact data — Name, organisation, job title, country, business email and phone, provided when you submit an enquiry, apply to the partner programme, or apply for a role.
Enquiry content — The deployment, engagement, or technical context you describe in the contact, partner, or careers forms.
Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps, collected automatically through server logs and analytics.

Correspondence — Records of email, phone, and meeting communication when you engage with our commercial, engineering, or partner teams.
3. Why we collect it · lawful basis
Under the GDPR, every processing activity must rest on a clear lawful basis. Ours are:
Performance of a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Processing your enquiry, scoping a deployment, fulfilling an order or partner agreement.
Legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Operating and securing the website, replying to business enquiries, managing partner relationships, and recordkeeping.
Consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Non-essential cookies, optional marketing communication, and any optional data collection clearly marked as such.
Legal obligation — Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Tax, accounting, export control, and other obligations under Slovenian and EU law.
4. How we use your data
We use personal data to: respond to enquiries; scope, deliver, and support commercial engagements; manage partner programme applications; review job applications; operate, secure, and improve the website; meet our legal and accounting obligations; and, only where you have given consent, send you relevant updates about our products and engineering work.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with parties who need it to operate the service, on the basis of written contracts that bind them to confidentiality and GDPR-compliant processing. These include:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers operating the website and email systems.
- Customer relationship management (CRM) and enquiry routing tools used by our commercial team.
- Analytics providers (only where consent has been given for non-essential cookies).
- Professional advisors (accountants, auditors, legal counsel) under confidentiality.
- Public authorities, where required by law.
- Affiliated entities within the LM TEK and EK corporate group, on a need-to-know basis.
6. International transfers
We host and process personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA) wherever practical. Where a service provider processes data outside the EEA, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission or by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, with supplementary measures where required.

7. How long we keep it
We hold personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, plus any retention period required by law. Indicative retention periods:

8. How we protect it
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk: access controls, encryption in transit, segregation of environments, vetted suppliers, and internal procedures for personnel handling personal data. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to industry standards and review our controls regularly.
9. Your rights under the GDPR
You have the following rights in relation to your personal data. To exercise any of them, write to office@lmtek.com. We will respond within one month, free of charge, in line with Articles 12–22 GDPR.
Right to access — Confirm whether we hold your data and obtain a copy of it.
Right to rectification — Have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed.
Right to erasure — Have your data deleted where one of the GDPR grounds applies.
Right to restriction — Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
Right to portability — Receive data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to object — Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling.
Right to withdraw consent — Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
Right to complain — Lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec) or another EU supervisory authority.

This website uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent because the site cannot function without them. 11. Children
Our products and services are intended for business and professional users. The website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We update this policy when our processing activities change or when the law requires it. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the website.
