The EK-Pro GPU WB RTX A5500 Nickel + Inox is a high-performance water block for the NVIDIA RTX™ A5500 GPU, cooling the die, VRAM, and VRM under a single cooling engine with low hydraulic flow restriction. Construction is machined from nickel-plated copper and stainless steel for long-term durability.
The block is compatible with NVIDIA NVLink connectors and uses a POM-machined 45°-angled terminal block with two G1/4″ ports for integration with EK-Pro QDC kits and manifolds. An integrated single-slot I/O plate provides sturdiness and chassis rear panel compatibility.
A retention backplate provides structural rigidity and passive cooling to the PCB VRM area. A side-mounted standoff is included for GPU brace applications, ensuring secure mounting during chassis transport and movement.
Three design decisions worth calling out
Low-restriction full-cover design
The block cools the GPU die, VRAM, and VRM under a single cooling engine with low hydraulic flow restriction. This maintains correct thermal performance with a wide range of pump specifications, including modest setups where total loop pressure budget is constrained by multiple blocks in series.
45° angled terminal · NVLink clearance
The 45°-angled POM terminal block routes G1/4″ ports away from the adjacent PCIe slot. The retention backplate and integrated I/O plate maintain NVLink connector geometry, supporting dual-GPU NVLink configurations. A side-mounted standoff provides a brace point for GPU mounting during chassis transport.
Pressure envelope
Working pressure is 2 500 Pa. Maximum rated pressure is 30 000 Pa in loops containing an EK-Pro Pump Reservoir Manifold, and 75 000 Pa in all other configurations. Figures are published at the supplier level and are consistent across the GPU water-block family.
