H100 NVL Rack

The EK-Pro GPU WB H100 NVL Rack Nickel + Inox is a water block designed for the NVIDIA® H100 NVL Tensor Core PCIe data centre GPU. The block fits into a single PCIe slot and uses a rack-style terminal to maintain compatibility with FHFW server chassis where vertical plumbing clearance is the governing constraint.

The cooling engine covers the GPU die, HBM VRAM, and VRM simultaneously via a dual-pass channel geometry. A POM-machined terminal block carries two G1/4″ ports for direct integration with EK-Pro QDC kits. A retention backplate provides structural rigidity against PCB flex under loop pressure and chassis vibration.

Construction is CNC-machined nickel-plated copper base and laser-cut stainless-steel top with pre-installed brass standoffs and EPDM O-ring sealing. The block replaces the stock I/O shield, integrating into the chassis rear panel without additional bracketry.

Three design decisions worth calling out

Dual-pass channel geometry

The dual-pass internal channel routes coolant across the full PCB footprint twice before exiting the block, increasing dwell time over the HBM VRAM stack and VRM zone. This is particularly relevant for the H100 NVL where the HBM thermal load is spatially separated from the GPU die contact area.

FHFW rack-style terminal

The rack-style terminal block routes the G1/4″ ports toward the chassis rear panel rather than upward, keeping the coolant path within the vertical envelope of a 1U or 2U FHFW chassis. The block also replaces the stock I/O shield, eliminating one component from the installation bill of materials.

Pressure envelope

Working pressure is 2 500 Pa. Maximum rated pressure is 30 000 Pa in loops containing an EK-Pro Pump Reservoir Manifold, and 75 000 Pa in all other configurations. Figures are published at the supplier level and are consistent across the GPU water-block family.
